2 The Five Tabs

Templates — Your starting point. 40+ designs covering gossip, sports, breaking news, memes, quotes, YouTube thumbnails, and more. Click any to apply it instantly — your uploaded image stays, only the layout and styling change.

Image — Upload and control your background. Pick format for your target: 1:1 Instagram/X, 4:5 Facebook, 9:16 Stories/TikTok/Reels, 16:9 YouTube/LinkedIn. Fine-tune zoom, pan, brightness, contrast, saturation, darken, and blur.

Layers — Your stack of elements. Add text, image overlays (transparent PNGs work perfectly), or logos/watermarks. Reorder with up/down, toggle visibility, duplicate with one click, or delete.

Properties — Deep controls for the selected layer. For text: font family, weight, size, line height, letter spacing, alignment, position, opacity, text shadow (X/Y/blur/colour), stroke (width and colour), background shape (rect/pill/tag with padding and skew), divider line (above/below with offset controls), and per-word colour highlighting.

Style — Global design controls. Accent colour, gradient overlay (direction, strength, fade position, solid darkness point), border style, accent lines, and frame colour.

3 Key Features

Per-word colour highlights — Click a word in the word picker to highlight it. Click again to make it "active" — then pick a colour from the swatch row to apply to just that word. Stack multiple colours in one headline (e.g. EUPHORIA in red, SCENES in yellow, SHOCKED in pink).

Drag to position — Click and drag any layer directly on the canvas. Sliders update in real-time. Hold Shift + arrow keys for larger jumps.

Text backgrounds — Add tabloid-style tags, pill badges, or solid blocks behind any text layer with one click. Adjust padding and skew independently.

Divider lines — Add horizontal divider lines above or below text layers with full control over width, thickness, and X/Y offset.

PNG overlays — Add transparent PNG images as layers. Perfect for logos, badges, cutout photos. Control position, scale, rotation, and opacity per layer.

Undo/Redo — Full history tracking up to 40 steps. Works with keyboard shortcuts too.

Copy to clipboard — Skip the download step. One click copies your finished graphic to the clipboard — paste directly into any app that accepts images.

Light/Dark editor — Toggle the editor theme with the top-right pill. Your canvas design is unaffected — this only changes the editor UI.

Pro tip: Use the Darken slider in the Image tab with the Gradient controls in Style to create deep, rich backgrounds that make text pop. Set gradient Strength to 90+, Fade Start to 15–20, and Solid From to 60–70 for that pro news-graphic look.

6 FAQ

Is Mock.cc really free?
Yes, completely. No signup, no account, no hidden fees. The tool runs entirely in your browser.
Do you store my images?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your images never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
What resolution is the export?
Exports render at 3x the canvas resolution for crisp, high-quality output suitable for all social platforms.
Can I use transparent PNGs?
Yes. Add them as image layers via the Layers tab. Transparency is preserved, so cutout photos and logos work perfectly.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. On mobile the canvas is at the top with controls below. Touch drag works for repositioning. The canvas preview is capped so you can scroll past it easily.
Can I save my projects?
Currently Mock.cc is a single-session tool — create, export, done. We may add project saving in a future update.
What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For best results, use a recent version of Chrome or Firefox.
